Parents Nicolae and Maria Brancusi, were poor peasants who earned a meager living through back-breaking labor, and from the age of seven he herded the family's flock of sheep. He showed talent for carving objects out of wood and often ran away from home to escape the bullying of his father and older brothers. At the age of nine, Brancusi left small village and went to work in bigger and larger town.

At 13 he went to Craiova, where he worked at a grocery store for several years. When he was 18, impressed by Brancusi's talent for carving, his employer financed his education at the School of Crafts in Craiova, where he pursued his love for woodworking, graduating with honors in 1898.

He then enrolled in the Bucharest School of Fine Arts, where he received academic training in sculpture. He worked hard, and quickly distinguished himself as talented. One of his earliest surviving works, under the guidance of his anatomy teacher, Dimitrie Gerota, is a masterfully rendered écorché (statue of a man with skin removed to reveal the muscles underneath) which was exhibited at the Romanian Athenaeum in 1903.

Though just an anatomical study, it foreshadowed the sculptor's later efforts to reveal essence rather than merely copy outward appearance. You all need to know that his work has been very popular in Romania, France and United State with many others because his work was very well popular and he created Sleeping Muse and The Kiss which has been very famoust all over the World this days with gemetrical and sparse objects.

Constantin Brâncuşi

Worldwide fame in 1933 brought him the commission of building a meditation temple in India for Maharajah of Indore, but when Brâncuși went to India in 1937 to complete the plans and begin construction, the Mahrajah was away and lost interest in the project when he returned.

Sadly died on March 16, 1957 at the age of 81 leaving 1200 photographs and 215 sculptures. He was buried in the Cimetière du Montparnasse in Paris. Also located in that cemetery are statues carved by Brancusi for several fellow artists who died; the best-known of these is "Le Baiser" ("The Kiss").

What Happened to CBS2 Reporter Serene Branson Last Night?

Serene Branson Speaks Gibberish at Grammys

It was the post-Grammys "flub" heard 'round the world--or at least the Twitterverse. Local CBS affiliate reporter Serene Branson was live outside the Staples Center introducing a segment on the music awards show's "highlights and backstage coverage," and within moments, her speech went awry.

While viewers of the telecast took to Twitter and Facebook to crack wise and "LOL" about Branson's garbled speech, what happened to the Emmy-nominated Los Angeles native is likely no laughing matter.

"It is feared that she may have suffered a stroke on air," reports the Daily Telegraph. Some reports indicate Branson was hospitalized, however "Branson may have merely been checked by EMT personnel and sent home with a friend, according to Kristin Cruz, co-host of the Mark & Kristin Show on KOST 103.5 in Los Angeles," notes the NY Daily News.

CBS2 has not made any statement about Branson, and what really happened remains speculation.

The "So Undercover" star was anything but at the 2011 pre-Grammy Gala and Salute to Industry Icons at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Saturday in a dress that left little to the imagination.

Cyrus' pink dress included a mesh window that showcased what appeared to be the 18-year-old singer's bra-less chest, while "Undercover" co-star Kelly Osbourne's lace black dress with a sheer top showed off her black bra.

Ahead of the Grammy Awards 2011, Miley Cyrus and Kelly Osbourne attend the 2011 Pre-GRAMMY Gala and Salute To Industry Icons Honoring.

While the lower portion of Osbourne's dress was opaque, Cyrus' dress also showcased some mesh material around her thighs, though an opaque material down the center kept her entire body from being on full display.

Cyrus sat with Osbourne and her mother, Sharon, at the party and posed for photographs with Ciara.

"Reunited and it feels so good I missed my Miley!!!!" Osbourne tweeted.
